News from the Board
Bart-WR:  Fall 1910 and what a civilized well distributed board you all have here. Most interesting, but someone's going to have to take a gamble. And soon. Lines ought to start cracking any moment now.
Germany-Russia:  Hey, you didn't have to build anything in Warsaw. All wasfine and dandy as we each concentrated on our own sides of the board. I think you are sniffing around for easy gains over here.
Fra-world:  I was out of contact for much of the month, so mostly just held in place.
Littlest Guy-Mentat:  I've managed to hold on far past my expectations. Pretty good for a little guy, wouldn't you say?
Mentat-Littlest Guy:  Yup. You're doing so good, you've got Bart in here nattering on about it. What'll we do if the game ends and no one has been eliminated? Give the winner the from the pool?
Rom-Mos, Vie, Con:  Thanks for the support! Whose side am I on?
Russia-Board:  Note that I have a new email: wgoesle@core.com. Not many of you must have heard about it this season.
Russia:  There was once a very quiet Englishman on holiday. He checked into a very nice small hotel in the countryside, and around 1 AM appeared at the front desk with a glass, asking the night manager if he could get a glass of water at the drinking fountain there in the lobby. After an "of course" from the manager the Englishman retreated to his room, only to appear a few minutes later with the same request, and got the same answer. The Englishman got the water, went back to his room, and was back only a few minutes later. On the fourth such incident the night manager said, "my, you must be very thirsty tonight". The Englishman replied very meekly, "no, it's just that my room is on fire". Any relationship between this parable and the current English monarch is strictly coincidence.
Russia-Turkey:  Um, was this it?
