In My Neighborhood X 7

Been busy. Barb's been reading a book on "Trigger Point Therapy", and started prodding muscles which, while not in the small of my back, supposedly can refer pain to that location. The pain relief that caused prompted me to several visits to a licensed massage therapist. It's been gradually getting better...
Right after the beginning-of-September rain (only a few days...), Barb crawled up on top of the trailer and started ripping off the roof. Of course, I got involved, and it wasn't a bit too soon: I found several holes in the old roof with water between roll-roofing and original tin roof.
It seems that one side of the trailer has been settling, so I've been propping up that side, and in the process replacing some, shall we say, 'less than perfect' pieces of lumber in the under pinnings.
Then Barb took a bath (we usually shower), and wanted to know why she heard water trickling whilst just sitting in the tub full of water with the stopper in and no water running in. Turns out the flange on the tub drain piece was cracked in two places, the putty had dried out and cracked, and it did not have a locknut holding it tight.
In the meanwhile, between, and during breaks from, these projects, I've been trying to finish the truss for the mill shed. I got all the joints cut, and most of the lower precision holes drilled, then ordered some one-and-a-quarter inch bolts for the tension splices and a jig for drilling holes perpendicular to the surface of the timbers. On the way home from picking up the bolts, I bagged my first deer...
The pickup suffered a bit from the experience, but I'm sure the deer didn't. However, several other vehicles ran over her before I could drag her out of the road, so she wasn't anything to haul home and throw into the freezer.
That was the first day my back had been completely pain free for quite some time, and, of course, that night it all siezed up again. So, I'm still seeing the lmt, and the back is getting better, still. At least the roof is on, ... even if it hasn't rained much since then, ...
