The theoretical maximum possible score was 115.  This round's actual maximum possible score was 66.  Actual maximum score was 59, achieved by Brent McKee, Douglas Kent.

I went back and rescored last round with Hindustani equivalent to Hindi. Differences were not big, but this should explain some scoring discrepancies to the sharp-eyed in the crowd. This time around, we have clear winners in every category, and some big scores.
Baby isI would have thought that most folks would want either a boy or a girl. I figured "healthy" would come third. Glad to see most of you know what's important!
Tim Snyder says, "...although it was a tough choice between that and 'alive'" Getting right down to basics, huh, Tim?
ColorI thought it would be "blue" or "pink", and much closer than it turned out. Barb was rooting for the "yellow" crowd. Pastel? That would be either crayons, or a delicate, soft, slightly grayish tint. We were looking for the actual tint, or colour, here.
Brent confesses, "I'm not a father myself, but in a couple of months I'm going to be an uncle for the first time. My answer for (2) is a popular colour scheme, although I understand that many people are getting away from the traditional pink and blue options. Most popular is Yellow, but Janna (my sister-in-law) painted her nursery Green (with a strip of animal wallpaper)."
FurnitureYou all went for the item the baby sleeps in. I guessed it would be a toss up between "crib" and "bureau", and completely forgot about the British faction. I would also expect to see a table and a chair, and thought one or two of you might have mentioned those. I see I've gathered a couple of old souls who'd also prefer a simpler time when we had time to sit and rock the cradle.
Brent continues with, "As for furniture they not only have a crib, but also a cradle made by Janna's dad."
FoodIf you didn't put down, "Mother's milk", you better go back and retake parenting 101! "Mother's milk" and "Breast milk" were scored as the same thing.
Elissa wrote: "milk/formula (if you cannot accept the slash, please take formula as my answer - although I feel breastmilk should be considered an equivalent answer to formula to be fair to those of us who are nursing :)" For someone who's actually DOING the right thing, I'd have thought you'd do better on this item...
Brent informs us, "As for food, breast milk is the most natural, and probably the best choice in terms of both nutrition and transmission of anitbodies."
MissingI thought "sleep" would take it with "independence" or "freedom" close behind. Guess we have too many parents here: loss of independence, nor much of anything else, is noticed by the sleep deprived.
Brendan wonders "if anyone will guess 'virginity'"
Bart adds, "(although sex might be another good answer....) :)"
Jim Burgess says, "That last one SHOULD be Diplomacy Hobby Time. You have of course heard about my entry in the Diplomacy AtoZ Encyclopedia, haven't you???
BOOB'S RULE OF SZINE PUBLISHING (1) <MN:Aug96> Jim Burgess' rule that having a child permanently doubles turnaround time and this increases exponentially with each additional child. Eventually, as they grow up, turnaround time begins to slowly drop. The pubber's comfort level with turnaround delays determines whether the zine folds or fades away. Also know as the Dick Rule, after Gregg Dick whose zine faded away and finally folded."
