The Nordland Store is the focus of the community. A recent book, "The Death of the Last Best Place", lamented the loss of places like that...the general stores, saloons, and diners which gave our towns a sense of community...but Marrowstone is fortunate...our "best place" is alive and well!

In addition to its sociological function, the store also serves espresso, and offers Austrian pastries, gourmet breads, and a huge selection of microbrews...and offers rentals of videos and kayaks.
