- 1997 K-3 Fire Prevention Curriculum for Washington State Department of Natural Resources: Created curriculum for statewide use designed around multiple intelligences and brain based learning.
- 1996 REFRAME Handbook for Northwest Educational District 189: Wrote grant and designed an integrated staff development and curriculum development model for educational reform. Wrote manual for statewide distribution.
- 1988 Beginning Teacher/Mentor Handbook for Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction: Major author for the beginning teacher section of this handbook used statewide
Program Manager
Supervised a federally funded program at the state level. Supervised several state funded programs at the educational service district level (Teacher Assistance Program, Paraprofessional Training Program, Student Teacher Program). All these positions were in Washington.
University Teaching
Taught in three different teacher training programs. Taught preservice teachers (Effective Teaching, Classroom Management, Kindergarten Curriculum, Reading Methods, Seminars, Practica). Co-facilitated experienced teachers in M.Ed. program (18 integrated credits in Curriculum Emphasis- Curriculum Development, Learning Styles, Multicultural Education, Assessment, School Reform, Action Research). Supervised student teachers P-12. These positions were in Oregon and Washington.
Teaching K-8
Taught for 8 years in three different school districts. (K- one year, grades 6-8 Title I Reading- two years, grades K-8 Reading Specialist- four years, 1/2 time grades 2-7 Enrichment Teacher- one year). These positions were in Oregon and Washington.
Educational Experience
- 1984-1993 Completed all work except dissertation in a doctoral program in Educational Leadership at Portland State University. Minors in this program were Curriculum and Reading.
