The Sweet Pea and Beech leaves are not just design elements; they have some symbolism, as well. According to Druid mythology, Beech symbolizes stability and flow of energy -- a conductor of energy not a holder. I like to see the Green Party as a catalyst for action as opposed to a political party. Dr Edward Bach, British Physician and founder of Bach Flowers & The Flower Essence Society, says these botanicals strengthen the positive and address the negative qualities described below. May we all be aware of the pitfalls, and strive for Integrity, Grace and Kindness in all that we do...

    Beech Tree (leaves)
    Positive:

    • Strong Convictions and High Ideals - Although much appears to be wrong, there is the ability to see the good growing within
    • Forgiving--Desire to be tolerant, lenient and understanding towards others
    Negative:
    • Intolerant-does not make allowances for the shortcomings of others
    • Critical- Lacking in humility and sympathy
    • Annoyed at small habits and idiosyncrasies of others
    • Must have exactness, order and discipline
    • Complains about others
    • Keeps to self--Lonely

    Sweet Pea
    Positive:

    • Social Responsiveness and Responsibility
    • Present Time Awareness
    • Rootedness - Centeredness
    Negative
    • Social alienation
    • Conflict with friends and family
    • Fear of commitment
    • Searching for family
    • Not being present-unrealistic
