    Port Townsend Rhododendron Festival

Rhody Parade We marched in the 66th Annual Port Townsend Rhododendron Parade on Saturday May 19, 2001 with our electric green truck, green balloons, green signs and lots of enthusiasm. Then we kicked back, relaxed and socialized at Chetzemoka Park, that stunningly gorgeous place by the beach.

    The Jefferson County Fair

We made it through and, dare I say, it was a success. The Green Party was the place to be. We had an energetic, fun, colorful booth staffed by equally energetic, fun, colorful individuals. We had a message and a mission that we managed to creatively and effectively communicate. My hat is off to all who helped make this event possible.
    • We got over 500! Signatures for the Food Labeling initiative I-254
    • We pulled in $395.19 in membership fees, donations and sales.
    • We printed 325 brochures and handed out 299!
    • We had 48 people sign our guest book with 28 requesting to be added to our mailing list.
    • We have 10 completed Voter Registration forms and probably handed out another 5 or 6 more.
    • We had 2 membership forms completed (with hopefully more to come via mail).
    • We talked to many, many people about a variety of issues.
    • And now, we have many beautiful & bright Sunflowers to admire!
