My specialties are writing and illustrating, and I am open to any kind of work that allows me to use my skills in gathering, organizing, and presenting information. In addition, I enjoy other types of projects, such as testing products and contributing to their design. Here is a sampling of the work I have done.
		Types of Software Documented Among the dozens of software packages I have documented are programs for:
			Analyzing optical and thermal images.
			Tracking mining operations.
			Using software development tools in Visual Basic, Visual C++, and LabView.
			Managing veterinary practices.
			Teaching optical character recognition (OCR) to pattern-analysis tools.
			Completing income tax returns.
		Types of Equipment Documented I have written and illustrated instructions for installing, assembling, and using:
			Printers and other computer peripherals.
			Large field equipment used in mining and drilling operations.
			Instruments for gathering and analyzing the results of medical research.
			Equipment for processing checks and other financial documents.
			Instruments for controlling tourniquet pressure.
			Hydroponic gardening equipment.
		Types of Projects In addition to writing and illustrating, my projects have involved activities such as:
			Designing brochures and product packages.
			Writing MS Word macros for a wide variety of purposes.
			Designing and writing sample software programs to use in tutorials.
			Evaluating, and suggesting improvements to, user interface and software operation.
			Testing software development tools.
