Enabling Educational Leaders to Create
Knowledge, Connected Work Processes and Capacity for Sustained Systemic Change

"Upon this gifted age,
in its darkest hour,
Rains from the sky
a meteoric shower
Of facts, they lie
unquestioned,
uncombined
Wisdom enough
to teach us of our ill
Is daily spun; but
there exists no loom
To weave it into fabric."

- Edna St. Vincent Millay

What is Knowledge Weaving?

Knowledge Weaving is an approach to systemic educational change which:
  • supports the daily work of people in schools
  • enables their know-how and individual advances in practice to be
  • continually shaped into explicit organizational knowledge that
  • increases the capacity of the district to progressively improve. It
  • creates a durable technology and process infrastructure, and
  • creates a continually growing knowledge base that
  • represents and embodies the district's growing capacity.
